What makes Unincumbent2012 different from other sites and movements that want to remove longterm Congressspersons?

The difference is that this site does NOT have an agenda to put in  people according to political ideology.

Other places that want to turn out “new blood” only want THEIR version of “new blood”. Conservatives want to throw current conservatives out who they  feel are not living up to their obligations according to the “conservative platform.” Liberals are doing that as well.

At Unincumbent2012, our logic is to remove the incumbent irrelevant of their ideology. Let’s have some new blood against new blood; then we’ll all worry about where they stand on the issues.

Once the people that have that “Washington stank” are gone, we’ll have an upgrade nomatter what their policies are.

The idea is that all sides will adhere to procedure, skip the bribes and games, and not have any senior Congressmembers taint them before they have a chance to actually respresent their constituency.

Candidates SAY they want to change Washington, but Washington ends up changing them. That has far less of a chance to happen if a whole new crew shows up at once.

So let’s give the incumbents an earlier-than-expected retirement. Support the challenger(s) in the primaries, and if the incumbent clears that hurdle, makes sure they fall in the generals.
